The best Manychat alternative depends on why you’re leaving. If it’s the bill, pick a tool with more contacts per dollar and no overage fees. If you want comment-to-DM and a post scheduler, one tool can now do both. If you rely on WhatsApp, broadcasts or TikTok DMs, Manychat is still the stronger product, and this page says so.

The difference is in defaults more than in speed: Manychat starts from a blank template, Kadenzo from a finished one you edit. Both send the opt-in button Meta requires before a link can go out, so neither is “safer” on that front.

What changed in 2026
Most comparison pages still quote the old pricing, where every contact you ever messaged counted against your plan forever. For new accounts that model is gone. Since March 2, 2026, Manychat charges for Active Contacts: people who interact with your account during the billing month. The count resets every cycle.
Older accounts are being moved over country by country. Ours, opened before the change, already shows “Active contacts 0 / 25” on its billing screen.
Two things didn’t change. The allowances are small at the bottom, and past them Manychat bills per extra contact, with overages on by default. You can set a ceiling; past it, automations only answer people who were already active that month.

Pick Manychat if
- You automate WhatsApp, TikTok, Telegram, SMS or email. Kadenzo’s DM automation is Instagram and Messenger only.
- You need triggers we don’t have: story mentions, Instagram Live comments, new followers (where Meta allows it) or ad clicks.
- You send broadcasts. Kadenzo doesn’t.
- Your team replies by hand days later. Manychat can use Meta’s Human Agent tag for up to 7 days; Kadenzo’s manual replies stay inside 24 hours.
- Your stack runs on integrations: HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Kit, ActiveCampaign, Stripe, PayPal, Make, Zapier and an API, all on Pro.
- You reach more than 20,000 people a month. Advanced includes 25,000 and charges a fraction of a cent after that; Kadenzo has no plan above 20,000.
- You want to start free. Kadenzo has no free plan.

Customers.ai still shows up on older lists as a Manychat alternative. It was MobileMonkey, and it now sells website visitor identification rather than DM automation.

How to move from Manychat to Kadenzo
Nothing imports directly, from Manychat or into any other tool, so plan an afternoon.

Export what you collected
Emails and phone numbers come out through the Google Sheets integration or a Data Collection CSV. Manychat’s contact export only gives Messenger IDs for ad audiences.

List your live automations
For each one, note the trigger, keywords, which posts it watches, the messages and any gates.

Rebuild them in Kadenzo
Most fit a template: comment for a link, lead magnet with email, follow first. Multi-step conversations go in the flow builder on Professional.

Switch one automation at a time
Turn the Manychat automation off before turning the Kadenzo one on for the same keyword, or both tools may answer the same comment.

Disconnect Manychat
Remove Instagram and Facebook from Manychat once everything runs in Kadenzo.
Your old subscribers don’t carry over as people you can message. They come back the next time they comment or DM, which is also when Meta’s 24-hour window opens again. Is Manychat still free?
Yes, but the Free plan is small: 25 Active Contacts a month, up to 4 live automations, and a Manychat branding message. Manychat itself calls it a tier for testing, not for running a business. In our test build, triggering on any post, asking for a follow, collecting an email and sending a follow-up were all marked Upgrade.
What counts as an Active Contact on Manychat?
Anyone who interacts with a connected channel during your billing month: a DM, a comment that fires an automation, a story reply. One person counts once per month however many times they write, and the count resets each billing cycle. Accounts created from March 2, 2026 are on this model, and Manychat is moving older accounts over country by country. Ours, opened before the change, already shows it.
Can I move my Manychat contacts to another tool?
Not as people you can message. Instagram and Messenger contacts are tied to the app that collected them, so every new tool, Kadenzo included, starts with an empty list and people re-enter when they comment or message again. What you can take with you is data you collected: emails and phone numbers, exported through Manychat's Google Sheets integration or a Data Collection CSV.
Is there a Manychat alternative that also schedules posts?
Kadenzo schedules to 11 networks and runs comment-to-DM on Instagram and Facebook from the same account. InstantDM also combines Instagram post scheduling with auto-DMs. Manychat itself has no scheduler.
What happens when I reach Kadenzo's monthly contact limit?
Nothing is billed. People your automations already reached that month keep getting their messages, new people are skipped until the count resets on the 1st, and you get an email at 80% and at 100%. Upgrading raises the limit straight away.
Does Kadenzo automate WhatsApp or TikTok DMs?
No. Kadenzo's DM automation covers Instagram and Facebook Messenger. If you need WhatsApp, TikTok, Telegram or SMS automation, Manychat covers all four; Chatfuel is strong on WhatsApp.
