Character Counter Extension — Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

The Kadenzo Character Counter browser extension collects nothing, stores nothing, and sends nothing anywhere. All counting happens locally in your browser.

This policy applies specifically to the Kadenzo Character Counter browser extension for Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. It is separate from the Kadenzo website privacy policy.

What the extension does

The extension counts the text you type or paste into its popup against the character limits of social media platforms. All of this runs entirely in your browser.

Data we collect

None. The extension has no servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no accounts. Text you type or paste into the popup stays in the popup and is discarded when you close it. It is never transmitted off your device.

Data we share

None. Because no data ever leaves your browser, there is nothing to share, sell, or disclose. We never sell user data.

Permissions

None. The extension requests no browser permissions. It cannot read the pages you visit, your browsing history, or any other tab — it only sees the text you put into its own popup.

Changes to this policy

If the extension's data practices ever change, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
